Baseball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

If Marshall was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Worthington last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the St. Peter Saints by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Peter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Marshall will host Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Peter, they will face off against Waseca at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints are facing the Bluejays at the right time seeing as the Bluejays are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
