Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss back in May.

Connor Elenteny was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Chicago Mt. Carmel saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Ireland, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ireland is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
