Soccer Game Preview: Hanford vs. Tulare Union

Hanford hasn't had much luck against Tulare Union recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hanford Bullpups will take on the Tulare Union The Tribe at 6:30 p.m. Hanford will be strutting in after a win while Tulare Union will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Hanford was able to grind out a solid victory over Porterville, taking the game 3-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bullpups' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Panthers are ranked 147th).

Luis Beltran and Thomas Espinoza scored all three of Hanford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Tulare Union has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 16. They lost 4-1 to Lemoore on Thursday. The The Tribe were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Tulare Union's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for Hanford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4-2 record this season.
