Softball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short

Chamberlain lost against Mobridge-Pollock back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cubs lost 20-4 to the Tigers. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jovie Vandenbosch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Vanderley, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Chamberlain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamberlain will venture away from home to challenge Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will take on Avon on Friday.
