Basketball Recap: Clarksville Extends Home Winning Streak to 18

Clarksville had won 17 straight home games dating back to last season and Malon Smith did her part to make it 18 on Tuesday. The Clarksville Wildcats came out on top against the LaVergne Wolverines by a score of 42-31 thanks in part to Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Clarksville's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for LaVergne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Clarksville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-28 win against Kirkwood on the 9th. As for LaVergne, they will take on Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockvale will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something LaVergne surely won't give up without a fight.
