Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thurston). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Springfield Millers a 27-0 shutout on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Colts sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row.

Thurston pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Thurston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Millers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
