Football Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Firebaugh's last matchup with Roosevelt could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Eagles were beaten by the Rough Riders 40-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rough Riders: they've now lost three in a row.

Firebaugh didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Leonardo Perez and Ryan Luna.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ehis Idoni, who rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Idoni's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. Brian Roberson also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Roosevelt, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Firebaugh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-14 win against Del Oro on the 19th. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next game, a 34-0 victory against Sanger West on the 19th.
