Baseball Game Preview: San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions vs. Sherman Indian Braves

The San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Sherman Indian Braves at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

San Jacinto Leadership Academy came out on top against Hamilton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Lions walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Bobcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Anthony Paez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Erin Pickeron also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sherman Indian). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over California Military Institute last Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Braves' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Sherman Indian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-10.
