Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cash Hill and Owen Beilke Lead Arizona Lutheran Academy to Victory

There's no place like home for Arizona Lutheran Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over the ALA - West Foothills Guardians on Tuesday. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Guardians are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arizona Lutheran Academy was led to victory by Owen Beilke and Cash Hill. Beilke dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Hill dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Hill a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sebi Guye, who posted two points in addition to six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Arizona Lutheran Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Blake Lunt and Aiden Anaya certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lunt had 14 points and five assists, while Anaya almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Trythall, who put up eight points and five boards.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.4 points per game. As for ALA - West Foothills, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Arizona Lutheran Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-48 win against Camp Verde on the 6th. As for ALA - West Foothills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-49 victory against Wickenburg on the 5th.
