Recap: Viewmont Vikings vs. Northridge Knights

The Viewmont Vikings were the 71-60 winner over the Northridge Knights when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Viewmont lost to Northridge on the road by a decisive 75-60 margin on Friday. Viewmont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Viewmont lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Draper, who scored 15 points. Preston Weaver was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two blocks.

Viewmont's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Carson Tovey got a bit more time on the court (19 vs. his season average of 9.54). Tovey made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Viewmont struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They are 2-4 when they can't control their own glass like that.

Viewmont has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Northridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viewmont will take on Bonneville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Viewmont is coming into the match with five straight losses at home, meaning Bonneville will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Northridge will take on Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Northridge's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
