Greencastle-Antrim dropped their record down to 10-9 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The result was nothing new for Lampeter-Strasburg, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Lampeter-Strasburg's part, Devin Aponte looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Aponte has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lampeter-Strasburg let Chase Messinger and James Wall run wild. Messinger got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Wall went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Wall has posted since back in April of 2024. Brady Scranton was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

As of now, neither Greencastle-Antrim nor Lampeter-Strasburg have any future games scheduled.
