Basketball Recap: Kinzee Bauerle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Atchison County over Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy

Atchison County lost against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Atchison County Tigers fell 56-45 to the Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy Ravens.

Atchison County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kinzee Bauerle, who posted 23 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Bauerle's morning made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kori Wagner, who had 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Atchison County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Atchison County will challenge Valley Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, they will head out to face off against Pleasant Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
