Soccer Recap: King & Queen Central Takes a Loss

King & Queen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Mathews Blue Devils, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, King & Queen Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Mathews are ranked 100th).

King & Queen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mathews, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1.

King & Queen Central has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against King William on the 20th. As for Mathews, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. Westmoreland will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mathews surely won't give up without a fight.
