Baseball Game Preview: Elwood Panthers vs. Muncie Burris Owls

The Elwood Panthers will head out to square off against the Muncie Burris Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Elwood has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 18.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. Elwood came up short against Eastbrook, falling 11-1.

Muncie Burris came out on top against Daleville on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Owls put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 11-3 win.

Dane Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Solomon Muliiira, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Edmonds, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Elwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Muncie Burris, their record is now 6-9.
