Baseball Recap: Avon Park Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Avon Park waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hardee Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 back in February.

Eric Harrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Avon Park's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jace King, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
