Recap: Applewood Christian vs. Training Center Christian
After flying high against the Show-Me Christian Angels back in December of 2023, Applewood Christian came back down to earth. Applewood Christian fell 52-44 to Training Center Christian on Thursday. Applewood Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Training Center Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Creed Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten steals for Training Center Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Doll, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Applewood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Training Center Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Applewood Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kansas City East Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Training Center Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri is ranked 408th, while Training Center Christian is ranked 390th).
