Carson took care of business in their home opener on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the North Saxons a 5-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on 11 straight dating back to last season.
The result came thanks to Giselle Pantoja's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Rylee Gardner was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Looking ahead, Carson will be playing at home against Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on February 24th. As for North, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-4 victory against Bishop Montgomery on the 20th.
