Baseball Recap: Bishop Mcnamara Finds Home Field Redemption Against Washington Latin Public Charter School

There's no place like home for Bishop McNamara, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since April 8, 2024.

Marley Bridges looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Ashton Strobridge was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Tyrone Leach was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Bishop McNamara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bishop McNamara's record now sits at 2-4. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
