Baseball Recap: Mission Comes Up Short

Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Summit Shasta Black Bears, falling 12-2.

Noe Zuleta made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Mission's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Summit Shasta, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission will face off against Lick-Wilmerding at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Summit Shasta, they will take on North Valley Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86 runs per game on average), something the Black Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
