Basketball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady was the 82-68 winner over Ballston Spa when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Schenectady Patriots took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ballston Spa Scotties on Sunday.

Schenectady's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ballston Spa, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Schenectady and Columbia will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Schenectady is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ballston Spa, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Moriah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Moriah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Ballston Spa likes a good challenge.
