Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monte Alto). They breezed by the Idea Academy Titans to the tune of 88-43 on Tuesday. The Blue Devil have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Monte Alto's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian Ruiz led the charge by going 8 for 16 on his way to 18 points. Ruiz is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Ricky Serrano was another key player, going 8 of 11 en route to 19 points.

Monte Alto now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Idea Academy, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Monte Alto will look to defend their home court on Friday against IDEA Pharr at 7:00 p.m. As for Idea Academy, they will head out to take on Vanguard Academy Beethoven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
