Baseball Game Preview: North Stanly Comets vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers

North Stanly is on a 20-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Mount Pleasant is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Comets will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Stanly knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Mount Pleasant likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, North Stanly got the win against Gray Stone Day by a conclusive 15-2. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant won against Union Academy on Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-2. The Tigers have beaten the Cardinals the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cardinals has come to flipping the script.

North Stanly's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Mount Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
