Baseball Recap: Thoreau's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It was a Battle of the Birds when Thoreau faced off against Northwest on Tuesday. The Hawks walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Falcons. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 11-2 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Thoreau let Myles Milliken and Micah Milliken run wild. Myles scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances, while Micah scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. Myles has become a key player for Thoreau: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Calladitto, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Thoreau's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Northwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Falcons beat Thoreau by a score of 9-0 later that day.
