Softball Game Preview: West Fork Tigers vs. Huntsville Eagles

The West Fork Tigers will face off against the Huntsville Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

After dropping their season opener at home, Huntsville is headed out to face a Tigers squad ready to give their home crowd a win. West Fork came up short against Pea Ridge last Monday, falling 17-1. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Blackhawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Huntsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to Providence Academy.

Huntsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Kassidy Oberan, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

West Fork might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Huntsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can West Fork avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
