Baseball Recap: Poth Find Success

Poth gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Devine Warhorses / Arabians. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Poth got a massive performance out of Major Luna, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Luna has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Clark, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Poth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Poth now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Devine, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poth will challenge Lytle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Devine, they will face off against Geneva at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
