Soccer Game Preview: Tate vs. Gulf Breeze

Tate hasn't had much luck against Gulf Breeze recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tate Aggies will welcome the Gulf Breeze Dolphins at 7:30 p.m.

Tate fell victim to Navarre and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 5-0 to the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. Addison Troxell had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Dolphins.

Gulf Breeze has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight contests. As for Tate, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.

Tate came up short against Gulf Breeze in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Tate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
