Softball Recap: Northeast Vernon County Comes Up Short

Northeast Vernon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Midway Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 on Tuesday.

Northeast Vernon County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Midway, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Northeast Vernon County will head out on the road to take on Liberal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midway, they have already played their next contest, a 25-10 defeat against Crest Ridge on the 2nd.
