Kainoa Luna put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Xavier Prep is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

Luna's strong effort led Xavier Prep over Palm Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
