Volleyball Recap: Mckenzie Durbin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northside over Lowndes

Northside was the 2-1 winner over Lowndes when they last played one another back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Thursday.

Northside's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckenzie Durbin, who had 21 digs and one assist. Lacie Watts was another key player, getting 21 assists and five digs.

Lowndes can attribute much of their success to Natalie Kolb, who had 14 digs and three assists.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lowndes, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Veterans on the 14th. As for Lowndes, they will face off against Suwannee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
