If Trousdale County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jackson County, they should've done a better job of containing Colt Loftis. The Blue Devils walked away with a 21-14 win over the Yellowjackets on Friday with plenty of help from Loftis, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Jackson County's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Trousdale County still got an impressive performance from Aiden Link, who threw for 192 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 66 yards.

Jackson County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Trousdale County, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Jackson County will welcome Cannon County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trousdale County, they will venture away from home to challenge Gordonsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
