Volleyball Recap: Argonia Raiders vs. St. Paul Indians

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Argonia had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the St. Paul Indians 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Raiders who have now won five contests in a row.

Argonia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-9, 25-9.

Tori Morrison paced Argonia's offense, picking up 16 kills. Morrison got some help from Kara Jones and her 37 assists. Morrison also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lakelyn Love, racking up two apiece.

Argonia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 36-6 record this season. As for St. Paul, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-13.

Argonia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Attica on the 26th. St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
