Volleyball Preview: North Crowley Panthers vs. Boswell Pioneers
On Friday North Crowley will have to hit the road after four straight games at home. They will venture away from home to square off against the Boswell Pioneers at 6:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, North Crowley didn't have quite enough to beat Weatherford and fell 3-2.
North Crowley wouldn't go down easily and took Weatherford into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12.
The losing side was boosted by Aniyah Kinney, who had 12 digs, two kills, and two kills. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Boswell had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Broncos.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 27-25.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boswell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alena Lopez, who had 29 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maribel Longspaugh, who had 26 digs.
North Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Boswell, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
