Recap: Lee County vs. Cummings
Lee County were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Cummings to the tune of 58-12. That's another feather in the cap for Lee County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
The match started off well for Lee County, whose offense put up 35 first-half points. Cummings wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 35-12 heading into the break. Lee County put the contest away in the third quarter with 23 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Cummings' record to 1-6.
Lee County will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Harnett Central. Cummings will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against Reidsville at Homecoming in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
