Basketball Game Preview: Carter County Bulldogs vs. Bison Cardinals

The Carter County Bulldogs will face off against the Bison Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Carter County will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Baker, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Carter County came out on top against Baker by a score of 58-46 back in December of 2024. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bison). They blew past Takini 60-28 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carter County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bison, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Everything went Carter County's way against Bison when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Carter County made off with a 70-48 win. Does Carter County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
