After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morton, the Scott Central Rebels were happy to have found some success on Sunday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 victory over French Camp Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Scott Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Scott Central found their leader in underclassman Kenlasia Hicks, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Taniyah Body, who scored eight points.
Scott Central's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for French Camp Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott Central will take on Bay Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bay Springs is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for French Camp Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Nanih Waiya at 6:00 p.m. Nanih Waiya is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
