Basketball Recap: LKY's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If LKY was riding high fresh off their 66-33 takedown of Brown last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The LKY Saints took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Male Bulldogs.

Despite the defeat, LKY saw an underclassman step up: freshman Courtney Simmon dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

LKY's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Male, they moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

LKY didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-53 victory against Bluegrass United on the 21st. As for Male, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moore at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
