Video: MaxPreps Top 10 Games of the WeekThe final MaxPreps Top 10 Games of the Week for October is full of top-notch matchups helping to decide regular-season championships from coast to coast.
The lone showdown between Xcellent 25 teams this week takes place in Arizona, where No. 20 Chandler plays host to crosstown rival No. 24 Hamilton. The winner will finish the regular season all alone in first place in the Division I Section I standings.
The regular season also draws to a close in Ohio this weekend, where we will preview three key rivalry games that have important regular and postseason implications.
Cincinnati Elder is playing for not only a share of the Greater Catholic League South title, but also to clinch a playoff berth when it takes on La Salle. In Northeast Ohio, a win for No. 18 St. Edward (Lakewood) over St. Ignatius (Cleveland) would likely keep its rival out of the postseason for the first time since 2010. Plus, Division III state contenders Archbishop Hoban (Akron) and Benedictine (Cleveland) face off in a battle of unbeatens for the North Coast League Blue title.
