Baseball Recap: Negaunee Extends Winning Streak to Four

Negaunee waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Westwood Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Thursday.

Killian Ryan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Tristan Slater was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan DellAngelo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Negaunee's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Westwood, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Negaunee will host Kingsford at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westwood, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Hancock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
