Baseball Recap: North Brunswick Finds Playoff Glory Versus West Johnston

North Brunswick extended their postseason success on Thursday against West Johnston. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpions.

Fisher Goodwin was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Goodwin wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Stacks, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Stacks has posted since back in February.

North Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for West Johnston, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8.

As of now, neither North Brunswick nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
