Baseball Recap: Barrington Find Success

While Barrington put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Conant. The Fillies/Broncos walked away with a 4-0 win over the Cougars. Surprisingly, this marked the Fillies/Broncos' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Not much got past Will Renshaw, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Conant off the board. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Renshaw.

On the hitting side, Barrington's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Swarbrick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jackson Roberts, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Barrington's win bumped their record up to 18-8-1. As for Conant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-16-1.

Barrington will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
