Recap: Franklin Central Flashes vs. Noblesville Millers

The Franklin Central Flashes struggled with assists on Friday (the Noblesville Millers had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Franklin Central was beaten by Noblesville 61-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin Central has scored all season.

Franklin Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being EJ Hazelett, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Hazelett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Franklin Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Noblesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baron Walker, who scored 15 points. Hunter Walston was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals and two blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin Central and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Noblesville, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.

Franklin Central will head out on the road to take on Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry Meridian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Franklin Central is ranked 40th). As for Noblesville, they will be playing at home against Guerin Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
