Softball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn lost against Manvel back in April of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sam Rayburn Texans came up short against the Manvel Mavericks, falling 16-6. The Texans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aleah Garza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Haley Yanez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Manvel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Sam Rayburn will challenge Dawson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Manvel, they will square off against Alvin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
