Baseball Recap: Harbor Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Lorenzo Valley on Tuesday, Harbor came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Santa Clara Bruins on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bruins from their previous meeting back in May of 2017.

Harbor has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Santa Clara, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harbor will welcome San Lorenzo Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Santa Clara, they will be playing in front of their home fans against MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Bruins' favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Condor have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road.
