Baseball Recap: Glenbrook Beats Byrd for Their Fourth Straight Win

Glenbrook won against Haynesville last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Glenbrook never let the Byrd Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Apaches as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not much got past Easton Sanders, who gave up just five hits to keep Byrd off the board. Sanders has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Reagan, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Glenbrook's record now sits at 10-8-1. As for Byrd, they moved to 10-14-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Glenbrook and Byrd could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Glenbrook (ranked 103rd) will meet Ruston (ranked 19th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Byrd will square off against Airline at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday down 286 places (350 vs. 64).
