Baseball Game Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. St. Bernard's Crusaders

The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs will square off against the St. Bernard's Crusaders at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: St. Vincent de Paul has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while St. Bernard's will arrive with 11 straight wins.

On Thursday, St. Vincent de Paul came up short against Santa Rosa and fell 11-6.

Wyatt Hansen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard's owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Hoopa Valley.

The team relied heavily on Michael Manzi, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

St. Bernard's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
