Softball Recap: Middlesex Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Middlesex had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Westmoreland Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Libby Oliver and Carly Jessie stepped up to the plate in a big way. Oliver scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2, while Jessie went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Middlesex will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Northumberland at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Westmoreland, they will head out to take on King George at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
