Softball Recap: Maplewood Rockets vs. Windham Bombers

Maplewood won the last time they faced Windham, and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Maplewood Rockets' way against the Windham Bombers as the Maplewood Rockets made off with an 11-1 win. That's two games straight that Maplewood has won by exactly ten runs.

Maplewood got a great performance from Emily Perline as she kept things locked down with no earned run or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched.

At the plate, Raegan Krieg and Hayley Flinner did most of the damage at the plate: Krieg scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Flinner scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Macey Antill was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

On Windham's side, they saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydnie Sweet, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with an RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Maplewood and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Windham, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
