On Saturday Skyline's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Westwood Warriors. The four-run effort marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Skyline got a great performance from Thor Pelczarski as he struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Skyline's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Sasser, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sasser has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Austin Calise was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Westwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will host Camelback at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Camelback has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something Skyline will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westwood, they will square off against West Point at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
