Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Valley Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 67-28 loss at the hands of the Suburban Christian Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1046th in California, while the Crusaders are ranked 198th in Indiana).

It was another big night for Ayden Montgomery, who posted 14 points and four steals for Suburban Christian. Another player making a difference was Chad Glover, who scored ten points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Valley Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Suburban Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Valley Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 58-46 loss against Victory Baptist on the 30th. As for Suburban Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-63 victory against Franklin Road Christian on the 30th.
