Volleyball Recap: Monterey Plainsmen vs. Palo Duro Dons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lubbock-Cooper, Monterey was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Palo Duro Dons with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Plainsmen also won the last time the pair played back in September.
Monterey was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-20.
Monterey found their leader in sophomore Avery Bradley, who had four digs and three aces.
Bradley wasn't the only good server: Monterey was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive games.
